Ria’s Tutoring Philosophy

Ria is very passionate about helping students achieve their goals. It is her firm belief that any student can achieve anything they put their mind to, no matter where they start or where they want to go, as long as they are willing to put the hard-work and seek out help when they need it.

Ria understands that applying to college can be a difficult process to navigate, from scoring high on the AP Tests and SATs, to getting good grades in high school, and getting good teacher recommendations and writing a good essay. It is because of this that she hopes to be a guide through the process, and provide help wherever it is needed, whether that be with SAT tutoring, choosing extra-curriculars, or writing college essays.

Ria tutors by first and foremost taking into account a student’s goals, strengths, and weakness and developing a plan accordingly. She seeks to turn student’s weaknesses into strengths by assigning them focused practice, so that they are able to go into tests with a strong base-line knowledge on how to succeed.
